Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Algeria battled to a 0-0 draw in their Group B encounter at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca on Sunday night.

Nigeria finished top of the group with seven points from three matches, while Algeria came second with five points from same number of matches.

The Super Falcons will face the Copper Queens of Zambia in the quarter-finals on Friday.

Algeria battle hosts and North African rivals Morocco for a place in the semi-final.

Nigeria dominated possession but the Algerians stood firm at the back.

Ifeoma Onumonu and Jennifer Echegini also came close to opening scoring for Nigeria in the first half.

Justine Madugu’s side struggled to conjure scoring chances in the second half.
