Ekiti Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has declared Tuesday, January 24, work-free in the state.
Oyebanji said the work-free day was to enable eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ( PVC) at the Independent National Electoral Commission designated centres.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser (Media) to the governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, on Friday, in Ado-Ekiti.
According to the statement, the governor has urged all eligible voters to take advantage of the holiday to collect their PVCs.
He reminded the residents of the state that the PVC was their licence to participate in the forthcoming general elections.
