SWAN partners Red Cross on keep fit exercise in Ekiti

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ekiti chapter, says it has collaborated with the Red Cross in the state, to organise monthly keep fit exercise for members and residents.

Chairman of SWAN, Mr Qozeem Oladapo made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti.

He said that the initiative is aimed at improving the wellbeing of members of SWAN, as well as residents of Ekiti, through regular keep fits.

Oladapo said that the keep fit exercise will commence on Nov.22 at the Fajuyi Pavilion in Ado Ekiti

The chairman explained that Red Cross will provide every logistics while SWAN will support the event with media publicity.

He expressed optimism that the partnership will positively engage members of SWAN, and boost its visibility.

“This programme is an avenue for members of SWAN to join the Red Cross and other members of the society to keep fit.

“Both Red Cross and SWAN as partners, will put in place logistics for the events on a monthly basis,” he said

Oladapo, consequently, urged members to create time to attend the programme.
