A 26-year old man, Afolabi Ridwan, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged theft of household items valued N975,000.
Ridwan whose address was not given, is being charged with stealing and breaking and entering.
The Prosecutor, ASP Tunji Olaniyi said that the defendant committed the crime in November 2024, at No. 18, Gbopa, Ologuneru Area, Ibadan.
Olaniyi further said that Ridwan stole a generator, stabilizers, cooking pots and cash among others valued N975,000, belonging to the complainant, Mr Noah Aremu.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 383, 390 (9) and 411 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Ola Olaniyi prayed the court to admit his client to bail in the most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Mr M. Mudashiru, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the matter until February 17, 2026 for hearing.
