The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has consoled with the River State Governor Nyesom Wike over the death of his uncle, Chief Charles Wike.
The party in statement on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan said the leadership and entire PDP family have been saddened over Chief Charles Wike’s death
He added that the party collectively stands in prayers and solidarity with Governor Nyesom Wike at this moment of grief
“The PDP is deeply pained by this loss and shared in grieving over the death of this great Nigerian who made a lot of contributions towards the upbringing of Governor Wike, others in the Wike family and the community in general.
“Governor Wike’s undiminished sense of service, honesty, forthrightness commitment and dedication to the development of his state, welfare of all Nigerians and stability of our party as well as our dear nation, Nigeria, are traced to some of the qualities found in his departed uncle.
“Our party is therefore consoled that Chief Charles Wike lived a fulfilled life as a Christian and a community leader who dedicated his life to the service of God and good of humanity” Ologbondiyan said.
He said the party condoled with Governor Nyesom Wike, the Wike family, the government and people of Rivers state and prays that God will grant them the fortitude to bear this huge and irreparable loss.
