Osun State Deputy Governor, Mr Benedict Alabi, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment against adulteration of petroleum products and other criminal activities in the sector.
He said the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola was more determined to provide enabling environment for any investors as well as ease of doing business and sustainable investment.
Alabi, made this known while receiving the State Executive Council of Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA) in his office.
He said, “I want to assure you that this administration is much interested in putting in place every necessary mechanism that could make businesses flourish and boost our micro-economy in the state.
“We understand the inherent challenges in the line of your business, especially the menace of adulteration of petroleum products by dubious individuals.
“We are ready as a government to help you fight this infraction and support your association in sanitising the system and guarantee safety of our people.
“Our amiable Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, is so passionate about developing business environment in a secured atmosphere.”
Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman of NOGASA, Owolabi Awolowo, appealed to the government for support to put an end to the activities of some bad elements in the Oil and Gas supply and distribution chain.
“As an association, we have come to seek for support of government to be able to get rid of some unscrupulous individuals who are engaging in adulteration and diversion of products in the State.
“The activities of these bad elements have badly affected our business and this is why we are seeking your help,” Awolowo stated.
He, however, lauded the giant stride of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration, especially in the area of infrastructure development, assuring government of massive support of his members at all times.
