Yoruba agitator, Sunday Igboho, has dared the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu, to arrest him, declaring that he remained resolute on his position that Fulani herdsmen should vacate Igangan in Ibarapa Locall Government of Oyo State.
The IGP had given the State Commissioner of zeolite, Ngozi Onadeko, a marching order to arrest Ignoho.
This was in the aftermath of the reported sacking of Serki Fulani of Igangan during which tempers flared and a number of vehicles and houses were torched.
There was, however, no reported human fatality.
Igboho had ruffled feathers in Abuja with his Fulani-must-quit seven-day ultimatum.
At the expiration of the ultimatum last Friday, he addressed thousands of supporters in Igangan, insisting that the Fulanis must leave the town.
On Saturday, the IGP’s order was announced.
In a riposte via his twitter handle on Sunday, Igboho said he had not budged on the quit notice issued to Fulani herdsmen in Yorubaland
In a related development on Saturday night, Igboho had raised a critical poser to the world as to whether or not the killing of Dr Fatai Aborode by the Fulani herdsmen after invading his farm was a crime.
He also asked whether it was not a crime that Aborode later went to Seriki Fulani house to lay complain, but was tied and butchered and nothing happened.
His tweets: “And it’s not a crime to Kill doctor Akorede? whose farm was invaded and destroyed by Fulani cows, later went to Seriki Fulani house to lay complain, but was tied and butchered and nothing happened?”
I stand on my action! I don't want any herdsmen in our land again.
