Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, won his polling unit with a margin of five votes.
Abiodun, who is seeking re-election, is locked in a neck-and-neck race with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ladi Adebutu.
Adebutu is a philanthropist who is known for donating electric transformers to communities suffering power outages.
Adebutu has been giving Abiodun a hot pursuit in the result so far sighted on the Results Viewing Portal of INEC.
For instance, from the results of Abiodun’s polling unit, APC got 147 votes, PDP got 142 votes and the ADC got two votes.
At the polling unit of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, who is also an ally of Abiodun, Adebutu of the PDP polled 77 votes while Abiodun of the APC scored 65.
