President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the death of Magajin Garin Sokoto, Hassan Marafa Danbaba.
Danbaba was the grandson of the late Premier of Nigeria’s Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
The President sent his condolences through a high-powered delegation comprising four ministers, led by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.l, SAN.
Malami said the President was shocked by the news and described the death of the Magajin Gari as a great loss not only for Sokoto State but also for the entire nation.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
Other members of the delegation included Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu, Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika and Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, who all took turns to offer prayers for the family.
Magajin Gari died on Saturday morning in Kaduna State after a brief illness and was buried immediately in accordance with Islamic rites.
