Police on Friday, arraigned a 32-year-old woman, Bola Oyekunle before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, over alleged theft of engine oil worth N20 million.
The defendant is standing trial before Magistrate Olufunke Ogun, on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, forgery and breach of peace, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, ASP Esther Adesulu, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June 4, at Shop C14, Aspamda Market, Trade fair Complex in Ojo.
She alleged that the defendant conspired with others now at large, to steal different types of engine oils belonging to one Chief Peter Aguluka.

The defendant was also alleged to have forged sales invoice of Fordex Lubricant Engine Oil Ltd, in furtherance of the alleged crime.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant also conducted herself in a manner likely to breach public peace by her conduct.

The offences, according to her, contravene the provisions of Sections 168, 287, 365 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The court granted the defendant bail in the sum of five million naira, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until July 21, for mention.
