Amid accusations that some elements in Aso Rock are working behind the scenes to sabotage the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has disclosed the processes and intrigue that culminated in the emergence of Tinubu as the party’s standard bearer.
Recall that Tinubu had, in Abeokuta, last week, said that the fuel scarcity and the naira redesign were ploys by a cabal in Aso Rock to truncate his presidential ambition.
His fears were validated some days later when el-Rufai said some people within President Buhari’s government who lost their primary elections were still bellyaching and working against Tinubu.
