Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, has expressed sadness over former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode’s defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Fani-Kayode was presented to President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the Presidential Villa by Chairman of All Progressives Congress Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

Ojudu described Thursday, September 16, 2021 as the saddest in his political career.

He posted the message on his verified Facebook page, hours after FFK met the President I Aso Rock and defected to the ruling party.

Ojudu subsequently shared a previous vow by FFK that he would never join APC, adding “I prefer to die than join APC.”

Before joining APC, Fani-Kayode was one of the prominent opposition voices in the country.

He was a spokesperson for the Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign Organisation in the 2015 presidential poll.
