Television Continental (TVC), owned by one of the frontline All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirants, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has deleted the results if its own polls on Twitter which showed that Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo was ahead of him.

The television station, which is supporting the presidential aspiration of its owner, had embarked on the poll to determine the popularity and acceptability of the leading presidential aspirants on the platform.of the APC.

Those that TVC listed in the Twitter Poll were Tinubu, Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and Mr Rotimi Amaechi.

TVC’s poll question was simply couched thus: “Now that Atiku has emerged as PDP presidential candidate, who should the APC field as its flagbearer (standard bearer)?

THE CONCLAVE reports that after 1,721 people had indicated their choices by voting, Osibajo had shot into the lead with 43 percent of the votes, followed by Tinubu with 40 percent.

While the Senate President, Lawan, scored nine percent, Amaechi scored eight percent.

Apparently embarrassed by the emerging result of the poll which was tilting against Tinubu, the TVC hurriedly stopped the poll and outright deleted the results.

In a related report, a Twitter handle “@BiggDaaddyy1” known to be a dogged follower of the Asiwaju camp, and who was simultaneously hosting a Twitter space, had to delete his poll which equally got the same negative result.

The development came on the heels of Tinubu’s meeting with delegates in Ogun State on Thursday where he took a dig at President Muhammadu Buhari and openly made snide remarks against Governor Dapo Abiodun for openly endorsing Vice-president Osinbajo’s presidential aspiration.

Timubu particularly challenged the perceived insincerity of President Buhari for not supporting the Youriba nation by not supporting his presidential aspiration.

Tinubu’s sense of entitlement to the presidency in 2023 on the APC platform after his claim of having made Buhari President in 2015, was writ large at the Abeokuta meeting and as captured in the viral video.
