Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has quit the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and joined the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
Mohammed made it official on Saturday, May 2, 2026, after picking up his APM membership card.
The move could redraw Bauchi’s political map. PDP has long been the dominant force in the state.
Mohammed had already signalled his 2027 plans: a run for the Bauchi South senatorial seat. Now he’ll do it on the APM platform.
