A former Senate Chief Whip, Senator Rowland Owie, has expressed his condolences to the Chief Imam of Benin, Sheikh Abdulfatah Enabulele, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Nura Enabulele.
In a statement he personally signed, Owie expressed sadness at the loss of Sheikh Enabulele’s mother and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the family.
He acknowledged that losing a loved one was never easy and expressed his deep empathy for the difficult time that Sheikh Enabulele and his family were going through.
Owie also recognized the significance of the timing of Hajiya Nura Enabulele’s passing, which occurred during the Holy Month of Ramadan, a time of reflection and spirituality for the Muslim community.
“Losing a loved one is never easy, and I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
“The fact that our mother passed away during the Holy Month of Ramadan makes it even more significant, as it is a time of reflection and spirituality for the Muslim community.
“While we mourn her loss, let us also take comfort in the fact that she lived a life of devotion to her faith and was able to witness another Ramadan before departing from this world.
“As we grieve and remember the life of Hajiya Nura Enabulele, may the Almighty God comfort and strengthen you and your family during this period of mourning,” he said.
Owie also prayed that her soul would find eternal rest in His bosom and that her memory would forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
“Once again, please accept my deepest condolences, and may perpetual light continually shine upon the soul of our beloved mother.
“Condolences, once again, and Peace Profound,” Owie added.
