Former Chief Whip of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Rowland Owie, (KSJI), and his wife, Lady Helen Owie, deeply mourn the passing of Madam Aishetu Ojeifo, mother of the Publisher of The Conclave Newspaper, Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo.
Madam Ojeifo passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, after a brief illness, just two months shy of her 92nd birthday, which was to be celebrated on December 12, 2024.
In a heartfelt message of condolence, Senator Owie expressed profound sadness at the loss, stating, “While we deeply mourn Mama’s departure, we are comforted by the rich and enduring legacies she has left behind, most especially through her illustrious children, whom the Lord blessed her with.”
He added, “Her strength of character, wisdom, and dedication to her family and community will forever remain a beacon of light for all who knew her.”
On behalf of his family, Senator Owie offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Mama’s soul, saying, “We entrust her gentle soul to the mercy of the Almighty and pray that she finds eternal rest in the loving arms of the Lord. We also pray that God grants Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo and his siblings the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Senator Owie and his wife extended their deepest sympathies to Mr. Ojeifo and his family, offering prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult time.
They prayed: “May the good Lord surround you with His peace, and may you and your siblings find solace in the legacy of love and grace that your mother leaves behind.”
