Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has thanked APC members, party faithful, and residents of Ojokoro for supporting his candidacy in the party’s primary election held midweek.
Olotu said his emergence as the APC candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II reflects the unity and democratic spirit of party members in the constituency. He pledged to continue focusing on quality representation and grassroots development.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a commitment to fairness and transparency in the primary process. According to Olotu, Tinubu’s stance on ensuring that valid votes count strengthened confidence in the exercise and reinforced internal democracy within the APC.
Olotu urged APC members, delegates, and supporters to turn out in large numbers for Saturday’s presidential primary to support President Tinubu. He said sustained support for the president would help consolidate the Renewed Hope Agenda and advance national progress.

The election took place across five wards. Results in two wards were declared inconclusive:
– Ward G: Cancelled after votes cast exceeded accredited voters.
– Ward H: Disrupted by alleged interference; declared inconclusive by APC electoral officers.
Voting proceeded in the remaining wards:
– Ward I(E): Olotu 513 votes, Makinde 303 votes
– Ward J(F): Olotu 241 votes, Makinde 333 votes
– Ward K: Olotu 685 votes, Makinde 650 votes
At the close of the exercise, Olotu polled 1,440 votes to Makinde’s 1,286 votes. He was confirmed as the APC flag bearer for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II in the forthcoming Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Olotu reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and said the party remains guided by justice, fairness, and internal democracy under President Tinubu’s leadership.
