The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it would abide by the decision of the Plateau State High Court, presided over by Justice S. Gang, with regard to issues affecting the party in the state.
Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos on Thursday nullified all congresses conducted by the people’s Democratic Party PDP in the State, describing it as illegal and lacking in merit under the law of natural justice.
In a statement, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, said as a law-abiding party, the PDP received the decision of the court in the spirit of collective effort to deepen national democratic process and strengthen the party for the task ahead.
He further stated that the national leadership of the party urged all members and teeming supporters to remain calm and continue to work together in their usual spirit of sportsmanship, particularly as they worked hard for the success of the party in the forthcoming Senatorial bye-election in the state.
“This is especially as the people of Plateau state and indeed, the nation at large, are looking up to our party at all levels to rescue our nation from the misrule of the APC,” Ologbondiyan said.
