NSCDC decorates newly-promoted 95 officers in Osun

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun Command ha decorated its 95 newly-promoted officers.

The decoration was performed on Friday at the Command’s Headquarters in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, by the command’s commandant, Mr Sunday Agboola Sunday.

Mr Agboola while speaking, said total number of 95 officers were promoted from the rank of Assistant Commandant to Deputy Commandant (DC) officers from Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) to AC and officers from Superintendent of Corps (SC) to CSC, among others.

The Commandant lauded the corps and cautioned them to step up their efforts to combat crime for more effective service delivery to make Osun safer.

He stressed that so many corps members merited the promotion.

He said they were promoted due to hard work and performance in the exam.

He urged officers who had not yet received promotion to maintain their faith and not give up because their promotions will arrive in due course.

“Encourage yourself, tomorrow is another day continue to do your job as expected of you, be a good ambassador of the corp and endeavour to do more.

“So many corps merit this, but the spaces that are available are not as linked as possible. I wish everyone was promoted, but there are rules in the command and limited space

“Promotion comes with challenges and they are expected to be up and doings to make sure they have been project the image of civil defense in good light and to make sure that they give good account of themselves within the system and in general Nigeria.

“Civil defence is loved everywhere in Nigeria. We are respected and in security to everyone, and we are collaborating with other security agencies so that the people in Osun and Nigerian as a whole

“Osun people are supportive in kind of giving vital information to us.

He appreciated the invited guest for finding time to celebrate with them.”

Also speaking, Osun State Police Command, Kehinde Longe, represented by ACP Akande Tajudeen, charged the corps to renew their services and be committed to what has been given to them.

“This promotion shows that you been favoured by God and is a season of gratitude to whom much is given much is expected.
