The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 242 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The agency made the announcement on Monday night via its Twitter handle. A total of 4,641 cases have now been recorded in 34 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The number of fatalities increased from 143 on Sunday to 150 on Monday while recoveries increased from 778 to 902.
NCDC also apologise to Nasarawa State Government for erroneously announced 2 new deaths in the state on the 10th of April 2020. “On the 10th of April 2020, we erroneously announced 2 new deaths in Nasarawa.. There was 1 death in Nasarawa. We apologise to the State Government for this error, and remain committed to providing accurate data,” the agency stated
