A Chief Magistrate Court in Yaba has ordered that ASP Drambi Vandi be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre until January 30, 2023, pending advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a tweet on Friday.
“Drambi Vandi was, this morning, arraigned in court and has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre till January 30, 2023, to give room for DPP advice,” the tweet read.
The State Government had, on Friday, arraigned ASP Vandi at the Yaba Magistrate Court for the alleged murder of a Lagos-based lawyer, Bolanle Raheem.
Raheem was allegedly shot dead by ASP Vandi on Christmas Day, in the Ajah area of the State.
