Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the deployment of five Residents Electoral Commissioners (RECs) to assist in the preparation and conduct of September 19 governorship election in Edo State.
According to a memo by the Commission’s Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, those affected were Goshe Yilwatta (REC Benue), Abdullahi Ibrahim (REC-Bauchi), Prof Riskuw Shehu (REC-Kano), Nwachukwu Orji (REC Anambra) and Abdulganiyu Raji (REC-Ogun).T
he Statement added that the RECs were expected to report to Edo State on Thursday, 10th September 2020.
