The councillor representing Eha-Ulo ward in Nsukka Local Government Area Legislative Council, Enugu State, Nelson Sylvester, has been killed by gunmen.
Hon. Sylvester was shot dead on Sunday night at Eha-Alumonah.
A resident in the community told newsmen that the assailants invaded his house, but that he managed to escape to a neighbouring compound from where his lifeless body was recovered.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said he had not been briefed on the incident.
