Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in its petrol price, lowering the ex-gantry rate to N1,200 per litre from N1,275 per litre, representing a N75 decrease.

The refinery disclosed this in a statement, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, noting that its coastal price had also been cut to N1,153 per litre as part of a downward review of its pricing structure.

The latest reduction follows a series of price hikes recorded earlier in March.

The refinery had raised petrol prices from N1,175 per litre on March 13 to N1,245 per litre on March 20, before increasing it again to N1,275 per litre on March 21.

According to Dangote refinery, “the price adjustment comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which continue to influence global oil market dynamics.”

The company added that the reduction is expected to impact fuel supply costs across distribution channels, including depots and retail outlets nationwide.

The price cut comes despite an increase in global oil prices, with Brent crude rising to $100.54 per barrel on Thursday.

Earlier in the week, oil prices had dropped to $96 per barrel after United States President Donald Trump announced a five-day delay in planned military strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure.
