Gunmen have kidnapped Dr Ibrahim Garba, Permanent Secretary, Niger Ministry of Transport, and his son.
They were seized on Friday from their home in Zungeru.

The incident was confirmed on Saturday in Minna by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Monday Kuryas.
He said that the father and son were kidnapped from their home in Zungeru in Wushishi Local Government Area after a wedding ceremony had been held in the hous of Dr Garba.
The police commissioner said investigation had begun into the abduction and assured family members that the perpetrators would be tracked down.
According to him, “We have since deployed armed security personnel in the area to rescue the victims.”
Kuryas appealed to residents to provide timely and useful information to security operatives deployed in the state to ensure the arrest and prosecution of criminal elements.
