Drama as Amotekun parades suspect for stealing goats in Osun

The Amotekun Corps in Osun State on Tuesday paraded suspected criminals who specialize in Stealing goats and taking them to Lagos for sale.

The forty-year old Segun Oladipupo from Ketu in Lagos and another forty-year old Wale Samuel from Ebute Meta, Lagos who specialize in stealing goats in Osun State were among other suspected criminals paraded by the Amotekun Corp in the State.

The suspects were arrested alongside the twenty-year old Suleiman Garuba, alleged to have been caught while scavenging some valuable items that did not belong to him.

The suspects who confessed to the crimes while speaking with newsmen, said they had stolen nothing less than sixty six (66) goats since they started the business in Osun.

Wale Samuel who hails from Ebute Meta said his Elder Sister, whom he identified as Iya Bisola, procured the vehicle for them, which they often used to transport passengers from Lagos to Osogbo and convey stolen goats on a return journey.

He noted that it was his friend that lured him from his driving and panel beating job into stealing.

While wpeaking with newsmen about the activities of the Corps aimed at riding the state of all criminal elements, the Field Commandant Osun Amotekun Corp, Comrade Amitolu Shittu stated that the Corps was working in collaboration with other sister security agencies to protect life and property of the people.

Comrade Shittu who noted that the Osun Amotekun had a smooth working relationship with the the Amotekun Network in Oyo, Ondo and other states in the South West Region, said the Corps had recorded great feat in apprehending suspected criminals from their hideouts and handing them over to the Police.

He assured members of the Public of the commitment of the Corps towards the protection of life and property, just as he sought the support and cooperation of the people in making their work easier through the provision of valuable information from the public.

Comrade Shittu assured them that investigation was still ongoing to apprehend the financier of the group who purchased the vehicle with which they have been carrying out their illegal activities.

The Field Commandant, Osun Amotekun Corp, Comrade Amitolu Shittu who paraded the Suspects, appealed to members of the public to continue to cooperate with security agencies in riding the state of all forms of criminalities.
