After hours of anxieties and tentative reports over the release of Governmrnt Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State, the state government has now formally confirmed their rescue.
Governor Aminu Masari reportedly confirmed the release of the over 340 schoolboys on Thursday evening.
A source close to the development said all the abducted schoolboys were released, and that they would soon be allowed to reunite with their families after checks have been conducted.
The schoolboys boys are currently in Tsafe, Zamfara, where they would be brought to Kankara on Friday.
