Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 296 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 55,456 cases.
The agency also confirmed 6 new deaths as the deaths figure increased from 1,061 on Monday night to 1,067 deaths on Tuesday night.
The health agency disclosed that Plateau had the highest record of the new cases with-183, Lagos-33, FCT-25, Ogun-16, Oyo-7 and Ekiti-6.
Other are Kwara-5, Ondo-5, Anambra-3, Imo-3, Nasarawa-3, Rivers-2, Gombe-2, Edo-2 and Akwa Ibom-1.
The data from the health agency disclosed that there were 11,055 active cases while 43,334 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
