Christians have been enjoined to live within the virtue of love for one another, as this would guarantee an atmosphere of peace and security in the country.
This call was made in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, Mr Adigun Daniel, on behalf of the State Commandant, Mr Abdulkadir Sulu and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Thursday.
The statement said that the State Command had deployed one thousand, five hundred and sixty five personnel for protection of lives and critical infrastructure during the Yuletide period.
Commandant Sulu therefore warned unscrupulous elements who are planning to cause crisis to stear clear of the State, saying anyone found engaged in acts that could breach the public peace would be dealt with.
The release stated further that members of the public should be vigilant and report any suspicious character lurking around their vicinity to any of the formations of the Corps.
“The following phone numbers can be called in case of any emergency: 07069348010, while on behalf of the officers and men of the State Command, Commandant Sulu wishes all Christians a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance,” the statement concluded.
