Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday night, announced 160 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 56,177 cases.
The agency also confirmed 2 new deaths as the fatality figure increased from 1,076 on Friday night to 1,078 on Saturday night.
The health agency disclosed that FCT and Plateau had the highest record of the new cases with-39 apiece, Lagos-30, Kaduna-23, Katsina-7, Rivers-6, Oyo-6, Yobe-3, Benue-3, Bayelsa-1, Abia-1, Edo-1 and Ekiti-1.
The data from the health agency disclosed that there were 11,011 active cases while 44,088 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
