The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday night, announced 156 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-70, FCT-22, Kaduna-18, Rivers-15, Plateau-11, Ogun-10, Bauchi-3, Katsina-3, Kano-2, Ekiti-1 and Osun-1.
The agency said one new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,162 on Thursday to1,163 on Friday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 146 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 60,936 while 2,785 cases were still active in the country.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 64,884.
Total discharged cases – 60,936.
Total deaths – 1,163.
