
The Kano State Fire Service says it has rescued four persons and property worth N1 billion in the month of March.
The Director of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Sani Anas, revealed this in a statement issued by the service’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, on Wednesday in Kano.
The statement said, “Five people lost their lives to fire outbreaks, road accidents, and incidents involving ponds, while property worth N1 billion was saved, and property worth N355 million was destroyed by fire during the period.

“The service responded to seven emergency calls and three false alarms from residents of the state.”
The statement urged shop owners to install fire detectors to prevent fire outbreaks.
