A Life Bencher, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, has emerged as the Vice Chairman of the Body of Benchers.
The body has just effected a change in its leadership guard in a seamless transition that saw Chief Wole Olanipekun finish his one year tenure as chairman. The position of chair is now occupied by Honourable Justice Mary Peter Odili (Retd)
Awomolo’s emergence followed the elevation of the immediate-past Vice Chairperson, Odili (retd) to the office of Chairman of the August body.
Chief Awomolo is a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Advance Legal Studies and Chartered Institute of Arbitration. He is a respected member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin Chapter.
He is a member of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC).A member of the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Bar Association and life bencher.

He’s an active member of the international Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyer Association.
He’s the Chief Executive Officer of The Awomolo and Associates where his adorable wife, Chief Mrs Olufunmilayo Awomolo who also became SAN in the year 2013 works as the managing counsel and his practice areas include: tribunal, criminal law, aviation, banking, insurance among others.
He was also the first Attorney General of Osun and was elevated to the rank of SAN in 1992.
