Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday night, announced 143 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 54,008 cases.
The health agency disclosed Plateau recorded Plateau-35, Kaduna-21, Lagos-19, FCT-13, Ebonyi-9, Adamawa-7, Enugu-7, Katsina-7, Edo-6 and Kwara-5.
Others are Osun-3, Anambra-2 and Kano-2, Niger-2, Ogun-2, Benue-1, Borno-1 and Sokoto-1.
The data from the health agency revealed that there were 11,357 active cases while 41,638 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
The agency said it remained committed to strengthening outbreak response through optimization of Public Health Emergency Operation Centres (PHEOCs) in states.
In Adamawa, the centre EOC team conducted a PHEOC assessment with a wide range of stakeholders, including the deputy state epidemiologist.
