The theme of the anniversary is: “Restoration of Good Tidings”.

Speaking at the event, which had district heads and others in attendance, Special Apostle Samuel Oluyinka-Sogunro, Chairman,  Anniversary Planning Committee, stated that government had  the obligation to listen  to  the peoples’ concerns.

According to him,  the security of lives and property of people should be a priority, with a view to nipping security challenges in the bud and encouraging both domestic and foreign investment in the country.

He added that  policies that tend to alienate the people from the state,  such as multiple taxation that could impoverish the people,  should be reviewed.

“Increase in electricity tariff for Band A customers that is for industrial zones will be borne  by the people that consume products and services from the industries, being charged as Band A.

“Improvement in infrastructure capable of individually empowering the people such electricity supply that can make people be gainfully engaged in sundry cottage ventures,  to earn living and reduce unemployment should be encouraged,” he said.

The church  leader said that, the anniversary, tagged 10+10 was a period of stocktaking and projection for another 10 years.

He noted that at inaguration in April 24, 2014,  the district began with 40 branches that had increased to 46, aside  its headquarters at  Ogo Serafu situated at Ijeshatedo Lagos.

“Evangelism is one of the reform the church will undergo in the next 10 years,  to reach out to people with the good news for salvation of souls.

“The church will also undergo reform in structures that will promote faithful spiritual growth, with a view to reassuring faithful of the presence of God in the church and for them to render supplications faithfully, with an assurance that it will be answered by God.

“The youth wing, children department and others, will be reformed  in such a manner that teachings of the Gospel will be tailored to solving contemporary challenges, to hinder faith derailment,” he said.

Also speaking, a member of the committee, Pastor Bantale Fadeyi, said  the church will ordain 500 pastors  during the celebration, to aid in the Gospel mission and to expand the church presence in yet to be reached communities.

“The church  will do more in humanitarian works in the society, as gratitude to God for His benevolence to it,” he said.

Fadeyi highlighted the anniversary activities to include visit to orphanage homes, novelty games competition, health check, and a lecture with the theme: “Building the Nigeria of Our Dream; The Role of Religion”.

Other activities included branches quiz competition, Elders  conference, prophetic praise night and a thanksgiving service as well as awards presentation.
