Borno State Government said 12 more COVID-19 patients were discharged in the state. The state’s high committee chairman on COVID-19 and Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Kadafur confirmed this in a statement on Sunday.
This brings to 14 numbers of patients discharged at isolation centres in the state since the pandemic was first reported in the state as two parents were earlier discharged few days ago.
Kadafur said of the 12, six were discharged by UMTH Isolation centre while the remaining six were from state Isolation centre at Bulabulin Ngaranam. He revealed that additional 22 patients are currently awaiting the results of their final test, and are expected to be discharged tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday.
One of the discharged patients from the state isolation center, expressed his appreciation to the committee for taking good care of them while in isolation at the centre. He was said to have tested positive on the 30 of last month after coming in contact with his relative who died of COVID-19 at UMTH
The Deputy Governor said more patients are expected to be discharged in the coming days, advising the members of the general public to comply and adhere strictly to the instructions and guidelines issued by NCDC and WHO.
