The cleric called upon him to ensure that Nigerian police officers embrace professionalism by implementing modern policing models capable of swiftly identifying criminal elements within their ranks.

Adeoye voiced concerns over reports of rogue policemen intercepting and robbing young individuals at gunpoint. He emphasized the importance of identifying and appropriately punishing these individuals, and if necessary, removing them from service.

He stressed that the nation’s security situation demands innovative and decisive approaches.

The Nigerian populace eagerly anticipates Egbetokun’s commitment to his previous statements, where he declared his intention to confront criminals with the ferocity of a tiger and the determination of a lion.

He further emphasized the importance of Egbetokun’s commitment to combatting corruption.

As the Inspector General of Police, Adeoye encouraged him not to confine himself to an office but to actively participate alongside his officers, rooting out criminal activities from the most inaccessible areas.
