Nigerian Baptist Convention on Saturday confirmed the release of 45 members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Kaduna, who were kidnapped by bandits on October 31 during Sunday Service.
In a short statement, the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Reverend Dr Israel Akanji said 14 members of the Church were still with the bandits.
While thanking the public for their prayers and support, Rev Dr Akanji urged continued prayers for the release of the remaining 14 people.
He said four members of the Church were killed and three were released earlier.
Speaking on the kidnapped Bethel Baptist High School students, Rev Dr Akanji said the three students remaining had yet to be released.
He said the bandit gangs were different and prayed to the Almighty God to continue to bless and keep all Nigerians in Jesus Name.
