Lagos State Government has fixed September 14, 2020 as resumption date for tertiary institutions in the state.
Resumption date for Secondary schools has been tentatively fixed for September 21.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made these disclosures during a press conference on Saturday.
According to the governor, bars, lounges, spas, night clubs remain closed.
“I am pleased to announce that our tertiary institution will be allowed to reopen from September 14, 2020, all our tertiary institutions,” he said.
“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the ministry of health.”
Schools in Lagos had been shut as part of national efforts to curtail the spread of the coronavirus disease, COVID-19, countrywide.
