Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, the All Progressives Congress Senatorial candidate for Imo North in the 2027 general election, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu, Muslim faithful, and Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, Araraume described the celebration as a time of reflection on faith, sacrifice, and obedience to God.
The APC chieftain said Eid-el-Kabir reminds Nigerians of the virtues of sacrifice, humility, and submission to a higher purpose.
He noted that the festival teaches both leaders and citizens the value of putting national interest above personal gain and of bearing temporary hardship for long-term progress.
Araraume, who once represented Imo North in the Sebate from 1999 to 2007, urged government at all levels to draw lessons from the occasion by prioritising policies that ease the burden on citizens and promote equity.
He also called on the governed to embrace patience, civic responsibility, and unity, stressing that national development requires shared commitment from both leaders and the people.
He prayed for peace, stability, and progress across Nigeria, saying the country needs calm and cohesion to address its economic and security challenges.
According to him, “only a stable environment can guarantee investment, job creation, and improved living standards for citizens.”
Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, Araraume urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful conduct before, during, and after the polls.
He tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to remain focused and impartial, saying INEC must keep its eyes on the ball to deliver credible elections that reflect the will of the people.
He called on well-meaning Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office. He argued that continuity would allow the administration to consolidate on ongoing reforms in the economy, infrastructure, and security.
Araraume concluded by saying that unity and sacrifice shown during Eid-el-Kabir should extend beyond the festivities. He expressed confidence that with collective effort and purposeful leadership, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and secure a better future for the next generation.
