The All Progressives Congress (APC) inches closer to the point of no return as delegates’ voting begins at 6 pm on Tuesday.
The goal is to elect the presidential standard bearer of the party in the 2023 general election.
The significant event holds at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Delegates from the 36 states and the FCT are already in Abuja and have been undergoing accreditation preparatory to their admittance into the venue.
The party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu is expected to deliver the welcome address at 3:40 pm according to the timetable of the party’s convention planning Committee.
The presidential hopefuls will be allowed to deliver their remarks between 4:45 pm and 5:45 pm, while President Muhammadu Buhari will deliver his speech at 5:45 pm.
The delegates will start voting from 6pm to 9pm, while the result will be announced at 10pm.
About 2,322 delegates from the 36 states and the FCT are expected to vote.
The northern region has 1,254 delegates while the southern region has 1,068 delegates.
