Former Nigeria and African Union of Journalists president Lanre Ogundipe has celebrated FrontPage publisher Sakibu Olokojobi on his 60th birthday, describing him as one of journalism’s most steadfast voices.
In a statement on Wednesday, Ogundipe said the milestone marks not just a birthday but decades of service to ethical journalism, public enlightenment and democratic discourse in Nigeria.
“Over the years, Alhaji Olokojobi has distinguished himself as a disciplined media professional whose commitment to ethical journalism and credible online publishing has earned him respect within and outside the profession,” Ogundipe said.
As Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of FrontPage and a respected member of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, Olokojobi has been a consistent advocate for professionalism in an era of rapid digital change. Ogundipe said his career embodies integrity, courage and intellectual depth, values critical to the media’s role as society’s watchdog.
At a time when the industry faces mounting challenges, Ogundipe noted that seasoned professionals like Olokojobi deserve recognition for strengthening public trust in credible journalism.
He joined family, friends and colleagues in wishing Olokojobi good health, peace and more years of impactful service to the profession and the country.
