The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, has given assurance that the insecurities in the Northeast Nigeria and other parts of the country would be won by the Nigerian military.
Amao gave this assurance on Friday, when he received in audience the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa at the Nigerian Airforce Headquarters in Abuja.
He said with the professional competence of the air service men and women and their well-boosted morale, the terrorists and their kind would be brought to their knees.
The CAS said the NAF was willing to collaborate with Nigerian professionals in the Diaspora in relevant fields as it had become imperative to tap into the enormous skills of Nigerians all over the world particularly in the area of technology transfer.
Amao also commended the NIDCOM boss for her passionate and relentless desire to see that the Nigerian Diaspora with such enormous resources, skills, talents and global exposure was leveraged for national development.
He further assured Nigerians of maximum support to ensure that Airforce Officers get the best professional training abroad., including those provided by Nigerian Diaspora professionals in that field
The NIDCOM boss used the ambiance of the visit to extend her condolences to the Nigerian Airforce on the loss of officers and men in the course of tackling the security challenges in the country.
Dabiri-Erewa also applauded the Nigerian Airforce for their intervention in bringing back stranded Nigerians in the Diaspora., particularly from neighboring African countries.
According to a statement by Gabriel Odu of the Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, NIDCOM, the visit to the Chief of the Air Staff by the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa came ahead of the proposed Diaspora Defence and Security Conference.
