2023: Intelligence gathering crucial in tackling insecurity – APC National Chairman

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu has urged Nigerians to provide security agencies with intelligence reports so as to effectively tackle the rising insecurity confronting various parts of the country.

Senator Adamu gave the charge on Monday when he paid a Sallah homage to The Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yanusa, in his palace in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State.

He noted that the 2023 general election was very crucial to the people of Nigeria, hence the need to fight insecurity ahead of the election.

Earlier in his speech, the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yanusa called on the people to quickly embark on farming activities as the rains had come to stay.

He called on the Federal Government to provide security to farmers and the country.

In an interview with journalists, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Adesina Soyemi said the command had adequately provided enough operatives for the state to deal with hooligans and bandits that were willing to cause problems in the state.

He assured residents of the area of adequate security and advised them to go about their businesses as nobody would be molested.
