Akpaida said Akoko-Edo needed someone who could attract development to the area, stressing that she was poised to develop the area and make a difference if given the opportunity to serve.

The media professional who said as a journalist with a wealth of experience, she had closely worked with the system (politics) and understood how things were being done.
She added: “As a media professional who had covered politics and closely worked with them for years, I don’t think anything is new to me. I know how the system operates; so it is for me to hit the ground running, because nothing will be strange to me. I’m
determined to bring the desired development to Akoko-Edo constituency II.”
She was thereafter prayed for by her ward 9 PDP leaders to clinch ticket of the party and in the long run win in the general election in 2023.
