Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri has explored Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its towering limestone islands and emerald waters, aboard a traditional three-deck boat.

The Thai beauty queen visits Quang Ninh Province as part of a trip with the Miss World 2026 organizers. During her stay, she explores local attractions and joins activities ahead of the upcoming international pageant.

Instead of boarding a modern luxury cruise ship, Suchata chooses a traditional three-deck boat with striking red sails, which emerges as a new tourism symbol of Quang Ninh Province.

“Roaming around the city and sailing among the landing dragons,” Suchata writes alongside a series of photos from her Ha Long excursion.

The traditional boat provides a quieter and more intimate alternative to large cruise ships, giving passengers more time to admire the bay’s scenery and experience the coastal landscape at a relaxed pace.

The boat mainly cruises through waters along Ha Long’s coastline. From the deck, passengers enjoy views of the bay and landmarks including Quang Ninh Museum, Dolphin Palace and Lan Be Park, while also getting a glimpse into the daily lives of local fishing communities.

Besides touring the bay, Suchata visits Tran Quoc Nghien Temple and Quang Ninh Museum, one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks along the coast. The museum features an imposing black-glass exterior that resembles a giant mirror reflecting the surrounding sea and sky.

Inside, Quang Ninh Museum displays documents and artifacts illustrating the province’s history, culture, natural environment and mining heritage, particularly its long-established coal industry. Suchata poses outside the museum with 2024 Mister World first runner-up Pham Tuan Ngoc in one of the photos from the trip.

Suchata, 23, studies law with a focus on international relations at Thammasat University. She represents Thailand at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico and finishes as third runner-up. She later surpasses 107 contestants to claim the 72nd Miss World crown in India in May 2025, becoming the first Thai woman to win the title.

On July 26, Global Beauties, a beauty pageant website established in 1998, names Suchata the “Most Beautiful Woman in the World 2025,” recognizing both her appearance and her charitable activities.
