Anne Ancia, WHO Representative in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s ​Ituri province said ​six tonnes of ‌supplies to fight Ebola were set to arrive in ​the Democratic Republic of ​Congo on Tuesday.
She said the supplies include ⁠personal protective equipment and ​other medical supplies.
She added that “we have ​sent 12 tonnes of supply. An additional six are arriving today. ​These include personal ​protective equipment for frontline health workers and ‌samples.”

Ancia ​said ⁠efforts were underway to scale up ​surveillance, testing and contact ​tracing ⁠amid what she described as “great uncertainty as to ⁠the ​scale and ​extent of this outbreak.”
