A video doing the rounds in the social media has shown the moments the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele at the Lagos airport.
His arrest followed his suspension Friday night by President Bola Tinubu.
The presidential action was announced by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume in a statement issued by Willy Bassey, Director of Information in the office of the SGF
The DSS had, consequent upon his arrest at the Lagos Airport, declared that the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, was now in its custody.
In the video, Emefiele was seen getting on a plane at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, and flown to Abuja.
A bulky DSS operative holding a pair of handcuffs, was seen closely on the trail of Emefiele.
