On the recent protest by some primary school retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme, Oyebade said “it is to place on record that the government representatives met with the leadership of the pensioners under the Contributory Pension Scheme on Thursday, 14th October, 2021, and had better understanding on upward review of monthly releases to cater for pensioners in the state in order to ameliorate the challenges of these senior citizens who the government holds in high esteem. Both parties agreed to reconvene on 29th November, 2021.

“It is also on record that the state government has processed the bonds of retired junior officers in the public service who have between One Hundred Thousand Naira and Two Million Naira (N100,000.00 – N2,000,000.00) to collect and they have since started receiving their bond vertificates”.
