National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has declared that the leadership of the party would work to ensure that the party wins the 2023 presidential poll.

THE CONCLAVE reports that Adamu spoke on Tuesday evening when a delegation of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party led by the Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Shaib Kyari, visited his Keffi countryhome to felicitate him on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He said that the NWC wanted to see President Buhari shaking hands with an APC president on May 29, 2023.

According to him: “It is a privilege to lead this great party at this critical time and we have the responsibility to deliver victory to the party in next year’s general election.

“We seek electoral success and support to ensure that our teeming members and Nigerians are not driven by the fears of the unknown.

“We will work to win. The NWC is a team and I am a team player. We need team work; we need togetherness. We must always stay together.

“People should not hear us in disgreement. People should hear us in unison. I belive in collective leadership. I take collective responsibility.”

He urged members of the NWC to play their roles very well.

He assured them that leadership would support them in the discharge of thier duties.

Adamu said that he would ensure that even the weakest link in the party’s leadership chain was supported and strengthened to perform and add value to party administration.

He said this was significant as the NWC doubled down to ensure an APC victory in the crucial presidential election in February 2023.

Read him: “By the grace of God, we want to see President Buhari shaking hands with an APC president on Ma y 29, 2023.”

Meanwhile, the National Chairman had thanked God for the gift of life and the NWC delegation for its visit.
.
He prayed for journey mercies for members of the delegation as they returned to their various destinations.

Earlier, in his brief opening remarks, leader of the delegation and Deputy National Chairman, North, Senator Kyari, had said the delegation was in Keffi to felicitate the national chairman on Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

Kyari stated that the NWC members had missed the national chairman since Friday (April 29, 2022) when he left Abuja for Keffi for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He said the NWC was happy with him for providing a sharply-focused and disciplined leadership since stepping in the saddle as national chairman.

According to him: “You have put the APC on the right track. We are confident you would lead our party to victory in 2023.”

Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mrs Ramatu Tijanni Aliyu, who in company with her husband, led a team of women supporters of the party to the national Chairman, sought and got his permission to address the NWC delegation.

She said that piloting the affairs of the APC was a daunting one especially in an election year.

She described the NWC as the brain box of the party administration, pointing out that the expectation of
Nigerians from the APC NWC was for it to deliver victory to the party in 2023.

According to her: “God is with us and by the grace of God, this leadership will deliver victory in 2023.”

The NWC delegation comprised among others National Vice Chairman, Chief Victor Giadom, National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu and Deputy National Organising Secretary, Hon Nze Chidi Duru.
